Caps getting capped in the capper
Caps also accomplish a very important function in the bottling process, which is one of the reasons why there are several different types of capping systems for bottles.
Glass bottles can be capped with crowned caps or mechanical caps for example, or with hermetic closure as well with clips. The latter is quite unusual and is aimed toward a very select market along with the well-known cork stopper. Whatever the cap chosen for the bottling process might be, it is absolutely necessary that the product remain in place and protected as a result of being capped. Any imperfection in that sense poses a risk that may seriously compromise the final result.
